Cookies With Santa is a joyous annual celebration hosted by the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, dedicated to bringing holiday cheer to the children and families of Carrie Tingley Hospital. This heartwarming event offers a delightful day of festivities, writing letters to Santa, cookies, and creating cherished memories for all who attend.
A Look Back at 2024
In 2024, the event was graciously hosted by UNM Lobo Athletics and UNM Lobo Club at the University Stadium. Families gathered to enjoy a magical day filled with holiday spirit and joy.
This Year's Festivities
This year, the celebration was even more spectacular, thanks to our generous sponsors, Ex Novo Brewing Club and Sammy's Cafe & Deli. They not only hosted a wonderful toy drive for the foundation but also ensured the event was filled with delightful surprises for the children.
Highlights of the Day
- Toy Distribution: Each child from UNM Carrie Tingley Hospital received a special toy, spreading smiles and joy.
- Delicious Cookies: The talented culinary arts students from Highland High School baked and served scrumptious cookies that everyone enjoyed.
- Cozy Quilts: The New Mexico Quilters Association provided beautiful quilts, adding warmth and comfort to the festivities.
- Santa's Throne: Thanks to Albuquerque Throne Rentals, children had the opportunity to take memorable pictures with Santa on a beautiful throne.
- Books Galore: Libros for Kids, Read to Me!, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library generously provided an array of books, encouraging the joy of reading.
- Healing Harmonies: The event was graced by the enchanting voices of Healing Harmonies, who sang beautiful Christmas carols for the children.
- Star Wars Extravaganza: The 501st Dewback Ridge Garrison entertained everyone with their incredible Star Wars gear, bringing the beloved characters to life.
- FBI Toy Drive: The FBI not only hosted a toy drive but also made a grand entrance, delivering Santa in style in a bearcat.
